Its always sad to see someone’s pride and joy washed up on shore. During the week we have been away sailing there was a day of high winds and waves from the north. We didn’t notice it too much as we were in a bay with good shelter.
Upon our return to Tindalls Beach we could see a yacht washed up on the rocks, a victim of the high winds. This is the third boat to end up on shore in this bay during the last 8 months. We normally anchor between that yacht and the shore. If we had have been here when the yacht broke its mooring and drifted to shore, Imagine would have been in its way. Crashing into Imagine we may have been able to save it from ending up on the rocks, but it would have done a lot of damage to Imagine.
So we are not in the way of any attempt to refloat the yacht we have moved across to Swann bay where we will stay for a few days.
I have just been told that it happened New Years Eve. We had left Tindalls Beach the morning before looking for better shelter as I could see the storm building.
