Here are a few tips I have picked up over the years of sailing, that may be used when camping.
Rubbish
Use your empty milk or soft drink bottles as your rubbish bin. Compressing your rubbish into a bottle saves space. You can get a standard garbage bag of rubbish into a two liter milk bottle. Screwing the lid on contains the smell and keeps fly’s away.
Vacuum Seal Food
Buying larger quantities is usually cheaper, so Break into smaller pieces and vacuum seal them. Vacuumed sealed food lasts longer both in and out of the fridge.
Paper Towel
Fresh vegetables last longer in the fridge if in a plastic bag with a damp paper towel. This also keeps ham fresher longer.
White Vinegar
Mix white vinegar and water and place in a spray bottle. Its great for cleaning and getting rid of mold. Its also good for spraying on insect bites and jellyfish stings, to counteract the poison.
